125x45x1800 Blank Forks

125x45x1800 Blank Forks weigh 96 kg each. The cross-section is 125 mm wide, 45 mm thick, and the total length is 1.8 meters. This blank fork is specially designed for skill training and certification assessment of non-destructive testing personnel. A special process is used inside each blank to pre-install multiple artificial defects, including three linear crack simulation defects, two near-surface pores and one volumetric slag inclusion. The location and size of the defects are recorded in the sealing map that comes with the product. The fork surface is divided into six inspection areas A to F with white resistant paint. Students are required to conduct ultrasonic, magnetic particle or radiographic inspection of the designated areas in accordance with the assessment requirements, and mark the defects found on the answer sheet. An unfused simulated defect is retained at the fork tip, which is specially used for practical evaluation of phased array ultrasound.

 

 

The material is ordinary Q235B carbon steel, with hot-rolled oxide scale retained on the surface and no anti-rust layer applied to simulate the rough state of real workpieces on site. The end face of each blank is engraved with a unique number and the number of artificial defects for training institutions to establish files. The packaging is fixed on a simple iron frame. With a single weight of 96 kg and two lifting eye holes on the back of the fork, it can be lifted to the flaw detection workstation using a workshop crane.
